Hi there. We had a visitor last Saturday. Can you guess who it was? I'll bet my half -a- doughnut you can't. It was in fact Miss Trunchbull! Although she did look a lot like Mrs. B but ... Anyway Miss Trunchbull was at the Club and it was interesting.

Miss Trunchbull was the mean head teacher at Crunchem Hall Primary School in Roald Dahl's 'Matilda'. At first she terrified the children Trunchbull style but then, as if Matilda was in the room with them, they stood up to her and scared her away. The children still had some words for her so they wrote to her:

'Dear Miss Trunchbull,

Are you married? If you are, I feel sorry for your husband! About a million kids are scared of you, but I'm not. You're a tortured soul under all that bulk, and you may not have a heart but that doesn't mean you should show it.'

From,
Nicole Kemedi

'Dear Ms. Trunchbull,

You are such a good actor. I can't wait to see you again. But you are mean, wicked, grumpy and so UGLY!!! Children are wonderful people and you should respect that. I hope when I see you again you are, nice, good looking and I hope you respect children.'

Love,

Ruby.

Some of the other kids were not as nice so we've spared poor Miss Trunchbull, who by now must be ashamed of herself, from knowing exactly what they think of her.
